The view from this urban park presents a moving and magnificent panorama of the worlds most shining beacon of hope and the island gateway through which millions of Americas immigrants passed. Today. descendants of over 100 different nationalities continue to live in Hudson County. in the shadow of the statues uplifted torch. The Ladys silhouette is a daily reminder to my constituents of the values for which America stands: Love of family and country. hard work. and a tradition of equal opportunity for all.
