Recently. two Ethiopians who had escorted three of our colleagguesSenators TRIBLE and DECONcIM and Representative AcKERMANto Falasha camps were attacked and beaten by men identified as government authorities. It Is imperative that we not sit Idly by and allow this repression to continue. We cannot cease our efforts until every Ethiopian Jew is allowed to emigrate to Israel. I pledge my continued support for efforts to provide assistance to combat the drought. such as H.R. 100. which would provide over 700 million in supplemental assistance to droughtstricken Africa. and I urge our Government and all other governments. to do all that they can to see that the Ethiopian Jews are allowed to emigrate.o
