The festivities will culminate with an Italian Festival to be held after the parade in front of the Irvington Library. Mr. Speaker. America has fulfilled the dreams of countless millions who have come to our shores in quest of a land where all people. regardless of origin. can reach their full potential. And I am proud that this fulfillment can be traced to Christopher Columbus. who is rightly called. "The Father of Immigration." So it is with pride and pleasure that I will join with Irvingtons Mayor Anthony Blasi and all my friends in the city of Irvington on Monday to commemorate Columbus Day.*
