Although he has an engineering degree. he is not permitted to make his full contribution to Soviet society. When he seeks out other Jewish friends. he is told not to associate with them. And as a final insult. he is asked to do further reserve military duty. which would only perpetuate the meager grounds on which he is denied his visa. Alexander has a right to better treatment than this. He is being deprived of his basic right to be with his family.
