This measure simply provides for a temporary suspension of deportation of Salvadorans from the United States until the President can verify that the humanitarian condi. tions in that country are safe enough for these individuals to be returned. This bipartisan bill can answer the questions of those that are unsure. or confirm the beliefs of those who feel these immigrants should return to El Salvador. But in either case. It will ensure that the welfare of these individuals is properly cared for.
