I would like once again to note that today is Commodore Barry Day. September 13 is a day of special significance to the Ancient Order of Hibernians who celebrate this day in honor of the Father of the American Navy. The AOH was founded in New York City in 1836 to aid Irish immigrants and seek greater recognition of the accomplishments and patriotism which the Irish have brought to this country.
