Speech #980252529

Mr. Speaker. I thank the gentleman for yielding time to me. I want to commend the gentleman from Pennsylvania. the chairman of our Human Rights Subcommittee. and the gentleman from Iowa. our ranking member. for helping to bring this measure to the floor at this highly appropriate time. at a time when the Falasha Jews were having an extremely difficult time in emigrating from that part of the world. Mr. Speaker. I rise in strong support of the pending resolution. House Concurrent Resolution 107 expresses in the strongest possible terms. the great concern of this Congress for the wellbeing of Ethiopian Jewry.
