I strongly urge the Department of Health and Human Services to continue to fund salaries for these providers in critical areas. such as my district. especially when the private practice option (private organizations assuming financial responsibility for salaries) is not available. Finally. I applaud efforts aimed at increasing medical care for ourcountrys migrant workers whose transitory occupations create unique health needs and deserve special attention. We cannot afford to neglect the health care needs of any of our citizens. least of all those who need it most but cannot afford it. I strongly urge my colleagues to support this legislation.
