I am particularly concerned about the plight of their poor. needy. and refugees in our own hemisphere. specifically in strife torn Central America. I am very pleased that DRI is one of the benevolent. nonprofit. nonsectarian organizations striving to make a positive contribution toward alleviating the suffering of the people in that region. particularly El Salvador. Direct Relief International provided over $1 million in medical aid to El Salvador last year.
