Obviously. this will not work. We must be the ones to make the difficult decisions that will solve this problem. We can no longer pass the buck on this issue. There are Members of Congress who have demonstrated courage and statesmanship in tackling this very difficult issue. The distinguished chairman of the Senate Immigration Subcommittee. Senator SiMPsoN. has done an outstanding job and I commend him for his dedication. hard work. and compassion. His counterpart on the House side. Congressman RON MAZZOLI. is also to be commended for his hard work and skill in guiding the bill through a field strewn with political landmines.
