Also regrettable is the Panetta amendment which will bring forth thousands of foreign guest workers in a position to be exploited. It is an amendment that would be unworkable. it is an amendment that will displace many American workers. On the positive side. the family reunification part. The CubanHaitian amendment. The provision on amnesty. I think we need immigration reform in this country. and I hope in looking at the fairness of those that have been crafting this bill. and by that I mean the gentleman from Kentucky. the gentleman from New Jersey. the gentleman from California. I think on many of these issues they have been wrong. but I think they will be fair. If there is injustice. if there is discrimination.
