Only we have expanded it in great degree in the bill that is before us. We have expanded it. I believe. too far. I support the amendment of the gentleman from Florida. who is in the well. because we have simply gotten the concept of this regularization out of focus. We have been arguing here about the numbers of undocumented aliens for days and nobody knows how many there are. But yet we seem to argue there are too many to be dealt with under the procedure that has existed in the law for some time. And the registry date provision updates the date for entry to 1973.
