Session #98 · 1983–85

Speech #980217861

I move to strike the requisite number of words. Mr. Chairman. as a member of the subcommittee and full Committee of the Judiciary charged with this legislation. I can fully appreciate the hard work done by the chairman of the subcommittee and the chairman of the full committee to resolve some of these basic problems that confront us with respect to immigration. But I am not going to be able to vote for final passage of this legislation and since I do not intend to do that. It probably makes no difference what my position is on this particular amendment.
