Session #98 · 1983–85

Speech #980217787

I hope not. but it is possible. But what is the other side of the coin to what the gentleman from Florida says? The other side of the coin is a permanent subculture in this country of illegal immigrants. alienated people who are neither fish nor fowl. It is basically what I call a festering sore of people. of human beings who are here without any form of legality whatsoever and if there is not some sort of resolution to this problem in terms of these people. it will create all sorts of serious political problems for this country in the years to come. It could create domestic political instability in the United States of unparalled proportions in the future.
