Chairman. without taking too much time. I want to point out that the gentleman from New York is correct in opposing this amendment. I believe that the gentleman from Florida in his zeal to try to expedite the administrative and judicial matters in the immigration field. has sacrificed what we consider to be a very. very necessary adjunct and that is full appeilate review and a proper trial of the case. I think that to give one inspection officer of the Immigration Service the opportunity to decide cases. to throw out class action. which we reinstituted a while ago. and to abolish judicial review of exclusion orders is absolutely. in my judgment. not in keeping with the kind of balance that we are trying to maintain. We have written a bill here that we hope is worthy of the Judiciary Committee. I know that the gentleman is a very. very conscientious Member.
