Government cannot build an impenetrable wall along the Mexican border. Should Mexicos financial condition change for the better. the problem would be lessened. Also. if Mexico can economically advance with her vast oil producing industry it would clearly be in our interest because it would lessen our illegal immigration problem. It would also help to lessen our dependence on imported oil from the Middle East. Immigration and its problems will always be with us. Our Nation is basically a nation of immigrants. The early waves of immigrants from Europe populated this country and they assimilated to become Americans. Most of those migrations involved the search for economic betterment.
