I am today introducing a bill that could greatly increase the chances of the U.S. soccer team winning a medal at the summer games in Los Angeles next month. The bill is for the relief of Mr. Jean Wilhelm Willrich. This bill provides that the beneficiary be considered to have satisfied the residence and physical presence requirements of section 319(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for naturalization. Mr. Willrich is a citizen of West Germany. He was granted permanent residence in the United States on August 12. 1981. Since he is married to a U.S. citizen. he will be able to apply for naturalization on August 12. 1984. Mr. President. it is Mr.
