Mr. President. May 6. 1984. will be the 13th annual Solidarity Sunday for Soviet Jewry. On that day. Americans of all faiths will participate in rallies and other activities to show their support for Soviet Jews and their determination to force the Soviet Union to provide all of its citizens. Jewish and nonJewish alike. with basic human rights and freedoms. including the freedom to emigrate. As one who has spent many years working on behalf of Soviet Jews and other oppressed peoples in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. I strongly support the campaign to be undertaken on Solidarity Sunday.
