I have adopted a refusenik. Mark Nashpitz. from Moscow. Mark has repeatedly sought to emigrate to Israel in order to be reunited with his mother. As a result of his application. he has been refused the right to practice his profession. and served 5 years in exile in Siberia. I will be sending letters on his behalf to the Soviet Government as well as letters of support directly to him. In Ethiopia. members of the Falasha Communities have been restricted from emigrating to Israel to be reunited with family and friends. There have been resolutions introduced in both the House and the Senate expressing the sense of Congress that these peoples should be free to Join their friends and relatives.
