Ms. Fradkova has applied to emigrate to Israel and been denied an exit visa. To protest here denial of an exit visa. Nadezhda began a hunger strike on December 24. 1983. According to reliable sources. Ms. Fradkova was forcibly taken under guard from her apartment to Leningrad Hospital No. 9 by Soviet officials two months ago. She is still being held there in isolation and is being brutally force fed. I find these actions deplorable and in violation of internationally recognized agreements such as the Helsinki Final Act and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
