This great institution has served more than 25.000 people over the years since it was started in Harlem by two sisters in 1934. Mrs. Charles H. Ridder and Mrs. William OKeeffe. as part of the settlement movement in this country. wanted to help the many poor immigrants from Puerto Rico.
