LADEIRA POaTUouzszAmmicAN or THE YEAn 1983 Ernie Ladelra was born in Fall River. Massachusetts of Portuguese immigrant parents from SiLo Miguel. the Azores. He graduated from BMC Durfee High School in the late 1930s. and four years later. found himself on the Pacific front as a member of the U.S. Air Force in World War II.
