In 1983. we saw the least amount of exit visas issued in nearly a decade. In 1979. 51.320 Soviet Jews were allowed to emigrate. In 1983. only 1.315 were granted visas. Free nations of the world must stand up and object to the Soviet Unions treatment of its own citizens. We can never allow one group of people to be blatantly persecuted as was the case before and during World War II.
