Speech #980151913

Let me say to the distinguished whip two things: First of all. some of those bills I have mentioned have been reported out of committee. including Immigration. which has been out for several months. Second. I am certain that the distinguished majority whip. a great scholar of this great institution. in the 200 year history of our Institution sees a period going back to the 1960s as but a short time. But I was in college at the time. I think in fact. the majority of this House was either in high school or college at the time we voted on prayer in school.
