In the case of bankruptcy reform legislation. we are literally under orders from the Supreme Court to take some action in regard to the reform of the Federal court system. and anyone who has been victimized. if you will. by the existing bankruptcy laws knows how critically necessary it is that we act on this legislation. In the southwestern part of our country. I am toldI am. of course. from the Frost Beltbut my friends from Texas. California. New Mexico. and Florida. tell me that there probably is no issue more important to them than immigration reform. These are vitally important issues that are being blocked from consideration by the Democratic majority in this House. and that is a real tragedy.
