He has been married to Judy Rabinowitz. a U.S. citizen. for almost 2 years. And he has been a member of the U.S. ski team for 3 years. His citizenship would not in any way change the number of immigrants coming into the country this year. In passing this legislation. already passed by the Senate. we will not be judging the merits of Mr. Endestads citizenship. That question will be decided by the appropriate authority after his naturalization hearing. If we pass this bill. we will merely provide Mr. Endestad the opportunity to have his hearing before the start of the 1984 Olympic games.
