Session #98 · 1983–85

Speech #980131567

I thank the gentleman for yielding this time to me. Mr. Chairman. as I listened to the comments in support of WrightPerkins. I would have the feeling that perhaps nothing has been done for the handicapped. for the immigrants. for energy assistance. I would point to the record and I would point particularly to a record put together by BILL NATCHER and SILVIO CONTE in behalf of these people under the 1984 appropriation bill. There is $3.480 million for chapter I. There is $1.875 million for lowincome energy assistance. There is $1.214 million for the handicapped. There is $993.9 million for vocational rehabilitation. and on down the line.
