It truly is not nativist. not racist. not mean. and for the purpose solely of avoiding any confusion as we discuss it in relation to this. I must oppose this amendment at this time. But I pledge that the hearings will be held on the issue of social and cultural impacts of immigration. The kickoff witness will be Jim Michener. and I am looking forward to that.
