This matter has come to the attention of the distinguished Senator from Wyoming. as well as his subcommittee. in terms of legislation which I had introduced for Mr. Patel. both as a general matter for all those who came under his category and legislation for him specifically. Essentially. and succintly stated. Mr. Patel came to this country from India in 1966 on a students visa in order to study at Villanova University. He graduated from Villanova in 1970 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Except for a short visit to India in 1971. when he married and returned to the United States with his wife Premlata.
