HousE CONCURRENT RESOUTION Whereas the granting of political asylum in appropriate circumstances is a longstanding and valued practice of the Government of the United Statesa practice which enjoys the support of the American people. Whereas Miss Hu Na. a 19year old tennis player from the peoples Republic of China. has requested political asylum in the United States. Whereas the Government of the Peoples Republic of China has publicly demanded Miss Hus return to the People Republic of China. and Whereas grave consequences might befall Miss Hu upon her involuntary return to thatcountry: Now. therefore. be it Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring). That it is the sense of the Congress that Hu Na should be granted asylum under the immigration laws of the United States.e
