In March of this year. this body had a World Protest Day on behalf of Ida Nudel. which I was pleased to join. At that time Ms. Nudel was very close to completing a 4year sentence of internal exile in Siberia. It was the hope of many of us that once this ordeal was over for her. the Soviet authorities would finally grant her a visa to emigrate to Israel to join her husband and sister. Unfortunately. this has not been the case. There is a great sense of frustration and anger over what is now happening to Ida Nudel.
