The Hadassah membership provides numerous community and educational programs in the United States and Israel. They originally built and presently maintain. for example. the HadassahHebrew University Medical Center at Kiryat Hadassah. Jerusalem. Israel. whose facilities include a medical school. a nursing school. and a dental school. In addition to this they maintain other hospitals. health centers. and educational facilities throughout the State of Israel. Here in the United States. they are the principal agency for support of the Youth Aliyah villages and day centers for immigrant and deprived youth. They also sponsor Hashachar. the largest Jewish youth organization in the United States. Perhaps most importantly.
