As a result of his teaching activities. the KGB recently raided the Kosharovsky home. confiscating Yulis typewriter and teaching materials. The Kosharovsky family now lives in constant fear of further and more severe attacks by the KGB. I urge all my colleagues to support House Resolution 269. which puts the House on record in support of the freedom of the Kosharovsky family to emigrate. and calls upon the Soviet Union to cease its persecution of individuals seeking to emigrate. and to cease its denial of basic religious. civil. and human rights to Soviet Jews.*
