I doubt whether any of us would embarrass a foreign dignitary who purportedly is not familiar with our laws and our customs. So what alternative does he have? I would suggest that he had only one if he wished to remain gracious. and that was to change the subject from the immigration bill to something else. and that is precisely what he did. On page 356. the next page. he changed the subject to the only other topic of a shared interest. and that was the titanium mine. He did not do so in order to link the bill and the mine.
