Life in the U.S.S.R. for Jews has become more and more unbearable. Life is even worse for those Jews who express a wish to leave the country. They are systematically harrassed and often lose their jobs and are forced to hide from the authorities. The number of Soviet Jews who have been denied the right to emigrate to a free society is almost impossible to count. It is my hope that our effort will help many of the families and individuals in the Soviet Union who have been denied this right. As part of the effort to aid these persecuted people.
