Speaker. following up on a statement I submitted to you last October. when I first learned of the plight of "refusenik" Karl Grinberg. I am now pleased to report that after 5 years of pursuit. Karl Grinberg has finally received permission to emigrate from Moscow. In June 1976. 5 years ago. Mr. Grinberg applied for permission for him and his family to emigrate to Israel. As a result. both he and is wife lost their jobs and the Grinbergs suffered a divorce in order that Mrs. Grinberg and their two sons could apply independently. She and the children did receive visas and emigrated to Israel 2 years later. In a letter dated October 1. 1980. to U.S.S.R. Secretary Brezhnev and Ambassador Dobrynin.
