Mr. Speaker. for generations. millions of penniless immigrants who were rich in integrity. intelligence. and dedication have built and developed this great Nation. Two such outstanding individuals from my native Hungary are John F. and Rose Taba. They hail from a small village on the Danube. Dunapataly. From childhood on. they have exemplified the hard work. the decency. the selfreliance. the creativity of the Magyar spirit. In 1956. after the failure of the heroic Hungarian uprising against Soviet Russia. they came to the United States and seized the wideopen opportunities of raising a family. building a business and contributing to their community.
