We all know of the injustices suffered by Soviet Jewry. of their struggle to practice their religion and to emigrate to countries where they do not have to deny their almost 6.000yearold heritage. It is therefore. especially fitting that we have passed this legislation on the last week we are in session before Passover. the Jewish "Festival of Freedom." This holiday commemorates Israels deliverance from enslavement in Egypt over 3.200 years ago. as recounted in Exodus. Viktor Bralovsky and his family have been singled out by Soviet authorities for daring to stand up to injustice.
