Mr. Speaker. on this day of national thanksgiving for the safe return of our 53 fellow citizens from Iran. I must bring to the attention of the Nation the continued captivity in Tehran of Mohi Sobhani. a naturalized American citizen. Mr. Sobhani was arrested at the Tehran airport last September 6. as he and his family were about to leave the country for the United States. The revolutionary authorities gave no reason at that time for his detention. But Mr. Sobhani is a Bahaia member of a religious faith that has been marked for persecution by the Ayatollah Khomeini. Already seven Bahais have been executed during the course of the revolution.
