UNICEF has done excellent work. as have the U.N. development program and the U.N. environment program. In addition. the World Health Organizations role in eradicating the killer disease of smallpox is one of the finest examples of international cooperation in the service of mankind. The U.N. High Commission for Refugees has also done important work in protecting and sustaining much of the worlds everincreasing refugee population. The United Nations may not be all that we wish it were. but thank God it is there. because if it were not there. our world would be worse off than it is. I am satisfied that Mrs.
