Ambassador Richard Gardner dedicated the Marianna Stango Rodino Center as "a gift of the American people to the people of Majano in Udine. who were stricken by earthquakes in 1976." Mrs. Rodino was too ill at the time to attend the ceremony. Marianna Stango was born September 8. 1910 in Newark. Her father. Ralph Stango. emigrated from the province of Salerno. Italy to America where he met Mariannas mother. Marie. in Newark.
