The last issue appeared in June of 1979. The publication contained articles on historic research into Jewish life in Russia. Jewish poetry and prose. and excerpts from books published in the West on Jewish topics which are forbidden to circulate in the Soviet Union. Dr. Brailovsky also has taken a leading role in assisting Jewish scientists in the Soviet Union. who. like him. have been barred from their scientific work for seeking to emigrate to Israel. He has been active in organizing seminarsheld in his apartmentfor these scientists. The seminars feature foreign scientists lecturing on new developments in the scientific areas of their expertise.
