As a member of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. I have listened with sadness and horror to the testimony of stepped up attacks on religious believers within the Soviet Union such as these Pentacostals. Basic humanitarian concern demands that these individuals and the other members of their families from whom they have been separated for so long be reunited. Basic humanitarian concern demands that they be permitted to emigrate. With this resolution this body will go on record in strong support of the rights of these families and in strong condemnation of the Soviet repression which has denied them their rights. I urge its adoption.
