Mr. President. this morning the Judiciary Committee conducted a hearing on the Presidents proposed admission of refugees to the United States for fiscal year 1981 under the terms of The Refugee Act of 1980. Public Law 96212. At the hearing the Presidents representatives. Attorney General Benjamin Civiletti and Ambassador Victor Palmieri. U.S. Coordinator for Refugee Affairs. submitted the report on United States refugee programs required by section 207(e) of the act. In fulfillment of the statutory obligation that the committee act to have the results of the hearing be printed in the RECORD. I am submitting today the summary of the Presidents report to Congress. the AttorneyGenerals prepared statement. and my opening statement.
