One of the top priorities of the U.S. delegation dealt with "Women and the U.N. System." Specifically. the emphasis of the resolution focuses. on the critical need for a fuller participation of women in both the formulation of policy and the implementation of programs at all levels of activity in the United Nations and of the members states. One of the most critical resolutions is the issue of "Women Refugees." Because it is clear that the refugee problem affects every continent in ourglobal world compounded by the fact that the substantial majority of refugees in most areas are worhen. the resolution introduced by the United States insisted upon a recognition of the special needs indigenous to women and children refugees. followed by an urgent request to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in cooperation with other United Nations agencies and international and nongovernmental organizations to establish the necessary programs to address this critical situation. In conclusion. the U.S. delegation and all the delegations throughout our world community are continuing negotiations toward the establishment of world harmony and equality. A philosophy dedicated to peace. development. and equality is unques pervasive mood of the V ence on the U.N.
