The only thing that should shock us is the degree to which our own leaders and the State Department liberals cover up this dangerous infraction of international agreement despite the apparent jeopardy in which it places our future. This morning our Intelligence Committee heard the testimony of Mark Popovsky. Mr. Popovsky emigrated from the Soviet Union to the United States in 1977. In Moscow he worked as a journalist and scriptwriter and published 14 books on Soviet scientists. primarily in the life sciences. Since coming to the West he has published four more books and pamphlets. particularly "Manipulated Science." a book on the use and abuse of science in the U.S.S.R.
