Mr. Speaker. while current national attention is focused on the thousands of refugees fleeing Castros Cuba. I would like to bring to the attention of my colleagues that approximately 50 Americans are languishing in Castros prisons. I have been Joined by 45 of my colleagues in sending the following letter to the Secretary of State asking that they do everything in their power to gainthe release of our citizens who are being held in the Combinado Del Este. While -we have an "open arms" policy toward those fleeing Cuba. we should not forget our own citizens who are victims of Castros regime.
