I would like to bring to my colleagues attention a recent interview printed in the Bnai Brith Messenger with Rabbi Juda Glasner concerning the Presidents handling of the hostage crisis. Rabbi Glasner was thrown into a Nazi slave labor camp. from which he escaped. only to be captured by the Russian Communists. Escaping again. he aided in the rescue of thousands of other refugees. He is now a highly respected civic and spiritual leader in the Los Angeles area. and I believe his comments are worthwhile and thoughtprovoking. This interview was conducted two weeks before President Carter ordered the rescue mission. and I believe Rabbi Glasners observations are timely as we try to sort out the implementation of last Fridays aborted raid.
