So in the name of sharing I plead for complete review. I am not on a committee that works in this field. and we have mighty good committees and members. But there must be a review. as I see it. of the entire structure of immigration policy in the light of these recent developments. We might as well get ready. The prospects are that we are going to have unemployment far more pronounced than now and we are going to probably have it soon. But I want to emplasize a longrange view as well as the short range. It is one of the unhappy facts of history that we have not done enough about our immigration policy. I feel that we can make some adjustment between our spirit of generosity and willingness to share with those that are less fortunate and our own duty to selfpreservation and for preserving the fruits of our system and our land for the benefit of ourselves and those who will share our future.
