Session #96 · 1979–81

Speech #960215338

Speaker. I urge my colleagues to support my bill. H.R. 4692. the Foreign Terrorist Exclusion Act of 1979. The United States must take steps to deal with terrorist violence which has already occurred here. and which may. and will occur here if the bankrupt Carter immigration policy persists. My bill would do the following: First. Amend the Immigration and Nationality Act and related law by excluding admission to the United States of any alien affiliated with a terrorist organization. Second. Direct the Attorney General to investigate the activities of any person registered as a foreign agent of a terrorist organization in order to determine whether such a person is. orhas. engaged in illegal activities in connection with such an organization.
